1918-1919

1918: Marblehead finished the season 5-1-0. Because of the 1918 flu pandemic, Marblehead played a shortened season that didn't begin until the end of October. Marblehead beat Peabody, Lynn Classical, Andover, Dummer Academy, and Swampscott. The 59-0 win over Swampscott is still the largest point differential between the two towns. Marblehead's only loss came against Scott High School from Toledo, OH in the post season.

1919: Coach Pidgeon's team finished 7-3-2, with wins over WInchester, Saugus, Gloucester, Lynn English, Essex Aggie. Marblehead lost to Winthrop, Revere (forfeit - that ended in a near riot), and Lynn Classical. Marblehead tied Peabody and Swampscott. The scoreless tie with Swampscott came after the annual game was postoned to Saturday due to a snowy Nor'easter on Thanksgiving Day. The Thanksgiving lineup: Phillips (LE), Hamson (LT), McHugh (LG), Doerty (C), Mason (RG), Eutis (RT), Tansey (RE), Eustis (QB), Gilbert (LHB), Sweetland (RHB), Curtis (HB)-, Glover (FB).
