A new assistant coach, Trem Robarts, came on the scene, as Marblehead posted an 8-1-2 record...The first team to play against Salem at refurbished Bertram Field, the Headers went down by a 7-0 count. Salem sophomore Stan Eusko scored the game's only touch-down...The Headers would later swamp Amesbury, 73-0, and roll up 526 yards in a -25-7 rout of Gloucester...Messinger scored four TD's in 33-7 win over Swampscott. The Thanksgiving lineup: Phelan, Godfrey (LE),.-Hastings, Osgood (LT), Shube, Hawkes (LG), Ingalls, Mitchell (C), Connors, Knowlton (RG), Wilde, Coffin (RT), Lennox, Polley (RE), Wells, Remick (QB),-Olson; Putnam, Canavan (LHB), Hazell, McKinnon (RHB), Messinger, Polardi `(FB). 

     Marblehead also played three intersessional games: hosting Miami Edison (MHD 21-13), defeating Curtis High School at Staten Island (MHD 29-0), and tying the Florida high school all-stars at Jacksonville, FL (13-13) on New Year's Day, 1936
